Snagit replaces Jing Pro for video captures

What program do you use for your image and video captures? One option is Jing Pro. It is cost effective and easy to use. TechSmith, however, is retiring the Jing Pro yearly subscription option as of February 2013. All is not lost, however,
with the retiring of Jing Pro.That paid version of Jing was good in that it allowed subscribers to save their video captures to MP4 format whereas the free version of Jing does not offer that option.  In its place, TechSmith Labs's newest version of Snagit is now able to capture videos AND it does not have the 5 minute length limit that the free version of Jing has. It also comes with an almost non-existing learning curve

We use Snagit at CTL almost on a daily basis for image capture. Now we can also use the newest version to carry on text, video, and web captures. "With the new Snagit, you have the freedom to record longer videos, blur sensitive information, scroll long webpages, record MPEG-4 video and YouTube uploading." The following 3.5 mins. video shows how to use Snagit to capture not just images, but also videos and text as well. After you watch the video, go ahead and check out the other tutorials TechSmith Labs have created on how to tap into all Snagit offers.
